We know computers, software and design, but you are the expert when it comes to your business. That’s why many of our clients choose to retain a Content Management System (CMS) for their site. This puts you in the driver’s seat, controlling when and which direction site updates take. You can react to social media, news events, and financial fluctuations daily to direct your business to the top.
We strive to make it easy!
Even if you and computers don’t get along, you can do this. We try to make it as straightforward as possible to update the areas of the site that are most important to you. We can even make custom administrative screens to guide you through some of the more common types of updates!
Depending on your needs, making updates to your website can be as simple as following the directions on a form to fill in the required details. The site then gathers the information you filled in, formats it nicely and displays it on various pages in the site, cross referencing information automatically to help generate leads. Basic page content can be changed through an editor much like Microsoft Word, with icons that give you headings, text formatting options like bold, italics, bullets, numbers, and even text color choices.
All of these changes are made online so that you can make them from any computer anywhere you have internet access. All you have to know is how to access your website admin screens and your username and password.
If you choose to add a blog to your site, you have full control to write to your heart’s content and include images and photos that can attract a devoted following of fans. This is a great way to keep your site fresh and to increase your search engine ranking so that others can find your business easier when they search using Google, Yahoo and other popular engines.
You can also run diagnostics, perform site backups, and take security and other software updates for your website if you wish to.
All of this is set up for you with examples and online publishing instructions that you can read to walk you through the steps. We also spend one-on-one time teaching you all about your site before turning the site over to you, and then provide unlimited support for the first month.
What if you get too busy?
You can add user accounts to allow others to help keep your site up to date. By choosing a role for each user account, you can limit what they have visibility and access to on the site. This allows you to delegate some of the work so you can focus on other aspects of your business.
Additionally, we offer maintenance packages that allow you to focus on the content and presence of your site, while we work to keep it running smoothly behind the scenes.
